Triffids on The Starboard Bow!

Just a quick post tonight as I have had my head in code for the past two days solidly and my eyes are sore and tired, but at least I have learned a new thing and got a site finished, so it was worth it.

As I have sat here over the past two days, I have almost been able to see my sweet peas growing, they are shooting up so fast.  Each time I look up from my computer, and granted it hasn't been that often, the little shoots have stretched higher and new ones keep popping out.  I have over 100 germinated sweet peas so far and I still hold out hope for the remaining few squares that don't have their own triffids already poking out.

I have promised to give some plants to a friend, and I hope that they will all survive my not very tender ministrations, as it would be wonderful to think I had managed to turn my nearly black thumb green.  I just don't know whether I should let them keep growing long and leggy or if I should re-pot them into slightly larger, individual pots to make them put on some root growth.  I think they're just about ready to be moved into the orangery, now the really cold weather seems to be over.

Oh, and no, we're not posh and it's not really an orangery, though that's what the estate agent called it!  It's a conservatory and not a terribly smart one either, though it has just been rubbed down and coated with preservative, so at least it doesn't look like a shack leaning against the back of the house!

Any tips for keeping my (very) baby sweet peas alive would be gratefully received...

Thank you!

I'm no expert on seed growing but I suspect your sweet peas need potting on - should get other advice first though:) I've never grown sweet peas although I absolutely love them both the delicious colours and the fabulous scent. I really should try them but my garden is full of perennials so I don't have much spare space especially in the sunny areas.
